COURSE OVERVIEW
Module 1
Proportions of a child
A child is not just a small adult, the proportions are different! Bigger heads, short chubby legs, eyes that are lower in the head, even when you work from a picture it is good to be aware of these differences!
Module 2
Warm Up exercises
In this second Module, we will do some fun warm up exercises to get into the process! Drawing without looking and upside down drawing will all help you to get connected with your subject!
Module 3
A girl in different values
I come back to this in almost all my classes, values are more important than colour! So a very good exercise is to paint with one colour and black and white and concentrate on the lights and the darks.
Module 4
A little boy on paper
This is another full lesson in which we talk about finding inspiration around you, making colour bridges and working with a palette knife. We will use all what we learned in this lesson to create the beautiful painting
Module 5
On the beach
In this step by step project we take our inspiration from an old dutch Master painter! We will start with base layers, create textures and then paint the children on the beach on top of a textured busy background

No need to buy everything on the list, use whatever colours and tools you have! In fact, to start you only need Cold Wax Medium, oil paper (or gessoed watercolour paper) and an old credit card to apply the paint!

When do the classes start and finish?
My Online classes are instant access classes, except from the class on portraits, Fabulous Faces (this class opens twice a year). You will be provided with access to all content immediately and can work through the content at your own pace. You can always contact me for help, questions etc. on in the FB Cold Wax Creative Community, on IG or by email!
What level are the classes for?
The classes are suitable for anyone who wants to paint figurative art using cold wax, whether it is in oils or acrylics. The most important is that you are enjoying the journey. As this technique is new to many of us, I encourage you to play, practise, explore and give yourself time to learn. I am there to guide you in your projects. The class 'Cold Wax & Oils - the Basics and 'Cold Wax & Acrylics - the Basics' are the most suited for starters, in these classes, I show you all the tools and the techniques with texts and videos.
Is there a community for the classes?
Yes, I encourage you to share all your questions and beautiful work in the private Facebook group "Cold Wax Creative Community". You can also post your work on instagram, using the #coldwaxcreatives and tag me, I will repost it in my stories!
Do I need high speed internet for the classes?
Yes, you will need a good internet connection to view the video content for this course.
What if I am unhappy about the course?
Unfortunately, once you are enrolled in the course I am unable to offer a refund. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions about the course prior to signing up.
How do your online classes work?
The workshops are e-courses, hosted online, and members get an individual, private account to access all their classes. All e-courses (except from Fabulous Faces) are self-study and self-paced. Paid classes have lifetime access (as per my terms of service, "lifetime" means for as long as my business is up and running). The videos are all prerecorded, so you can watch them whenever you want, and as many times as you wish.
How long will the videos be available?
You get lifetime access to the classroom and videos. "Lifetime" technically means for as long as my business is up and running. You can watch the videos within the classroom as many times as you wish. Make sure that your internet connection allows you to smoothly stream high resolution videos online. Refunds will not be made after registration.
