I will show you how to transfer your image to your painting and how to go from there in step by step projects. Join me in this wonderful class!

Module 1
Colour and Values
Who of you is an art supply addict? I definitely am! But what I have learned over the years is that it is more important to know the properties of the paints you have than buying endless new colors. In this lesson we will have a closer look at your paints, are they Transparent or Opaque, Warm or Cool? And did you know that value is the most important element in art?
Module 2
Marks and Layers
Painting in Oils and Cold Wax is all about Marks and Layers! Creating interesting textures with stencils and texture tools, scribbling with soft pastels or oil sticks, it all adds to the history of the painting which will shine through in the end result! In this module we will create 4 small abstract paintings, as the basis of my figures is always abstract.
Module 3
A textured girl on paper
Now the fun part starts! We start building up our abstract background and then add our figure. We will create beautiful textures and layers with different mark making and drawing tools, like stencils, bubble wrap and more. I will show you how I mix my colors to get a harmonious color palette. It is all about exploring this wonderful medium!
Module 4
A layered lady
In this lesson, we will combine everything we have learned so far. We will be layering our panel with several layers before adding the figure. I will show you how I transfer my figure drawing to the background and how we integrate her into the painting. By now, I am sure you are as hooked on the Cold Wax Medium as I am!
Module 5
Bonus: The finishing Touch
In this last module, I will show you how to add the finishing touch to your painting and display them in a beautiful way!

When do the classes start and finish?
My Online classes are instant access classes, except from the class on portraits, Fabulous Faces (this class opens twice a year). You will be provided with access to all content immediately and can work through the content at your own pace. You can always contact me for help, questions etc. on in the FB Cold Wax Creative Community, on IG or by email!
What level are the classes for?
The classes are suitable for anyone who wants to paint figurative art with oils and cold wax medium. The most important is that you are enjoying the journey. As this technique is new to many of us, I encourage you to play, practise, explore and give yourself time to learn. I am there to guide you in your projects. The class 'Getting Started with Cold Wax Medium' is most suited for starters, in this class I show you all the tools and the techniques with texts and videos.
Is there a community for the classes?
Yes, I encourage you to share all your questions and beautiful work in the private Facebook group "Cold Wax Creative Community". You can also post your work on instagram, using the #coldwaxcreatives
Do I need high speed internet for the classes?
Yes, you will need a good internet connection to view the video content for this course.
What if I am unhappy about the course?
Unfortunately, once you are enrolled in the course I am unable to offer a refund. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions about the course prior to signing up.
How do your online classes work?
The workshops are e-courses, hosted online, and members get an individual, private account to access all their classes. All e-courses (except from Fabulous Faces) are self-study and self-paced. Paid classes have lifetime access (as per our terms of service, "lifetime" means for as long as our business is up and running). The videos are all prerecorded, so you can watch them whenever you want, and as many times as you wish.
How long will the videos be available?
You get lifetime access to the classroom and videos. "Lifetime" technically means for as long as my business is up and running. You can watch the videos within the classroom as many times as you wish. Make sure that your internet connection allows you to smoothly stream high resolution videos online.
